About the DISC

In 1981, Dearborn entrepreneur and philanthropist Mike Adray was recognized for his contributions when the Ford Woods Ice Arena was officially renamed the Mike Adray Sports Arena. Adray made many generous contributions to the City of Dearborn, such as sponsoring youth athletic teams. In 1996, Dearborn saw the opening of the new ice arena at Ford Woods, the Kilpatrick Arena, named after William Kilpatrick, longtime recreation director and school athletic director. This new ice arena and the existing Adray Arena make up the Dearborn Ice Skating Center (DISC).
