
Learn to Skate Program
Learn to Skate Fall Session registration is open! This session runs from March 11 - May 2, 2026.
Our Learn to Skate program provides high-quality instruction in a wide range of skating skills, following the guidelines and standards established by the U.S. Figure Skating. Professional instructors lead each class in a positive and supportive environment, making learning to skate a fun and rewarding experience for recreational, hockey, and figure skaters of all ages and skill levels.
Participants will build confidence on the ice while developing fundamental skating techniques through structured lessons. Skaters may also choose a session to participate in Celebration on Ice, scheduled for May 15–17, giving them the opportunity to showcase their skills in a fun end-of-season performance.
Session rates are for seven weeks.

Refund/Pro Rate Policy: No refunds after the second class of the session. No refunds for missed classes. The DISC does not pro-rate class sessions. One make-up class is permitted during each session and must be used within the Winter session. Note: A $10 processing fee will be charged for refunds.

Skates are available to rent, and can be reserved during Learn to Skate registration for a fee of $15 for all classes.
Skaters should arrive 15 minutes to their scheduled classes, and dress in comfortable and warm clothing. Single blade hockey or figure skates are required. Laces are preferred over Velcro or buckles. If you are looking for skates, our highly-trained staff will assist you in getting the right skates, our highly-trained staff will assist you in getting the right skates for your skater and the correct fit for your foot. We offer skates for beginner and advanced skaters through the Pro Shop, located inside the lobby of the DISC.
A mandatory annual fee of $20 for a Learn to Skate USA membership will be added to the cost of registration.
